Here is a new way to stay motivated. Upload pictures of yourself so you can watch your progress. This is perfect for before and after shots. You can keep your images private, or show them off to others!

We are very excited to release many new group capabilities. With the new additions to the site, Gyminee Groups become much more useful!
Some of the new features:
Group messaging is much more "forum-like". Group members can create specific message topics.
Message posts can contain links, images, and more formatting.
Users can subscribe to RSS feeds to keep up-to-date on group messages.
Users can receive daily summaries of group activity via email. We don't want to become a spam factory, so you can disable these emails in your account settings.
Any group member can recommend workout programs to others in the group.
We hope you like the new features. As always, let us know what you think!
First off, we do not condone this. This is a television commercial for a fitness center in the Denver area. Obviously, "shock effect" is their main goal.
I am not wanting to talk bad about their style of motivation (it is probably effective for many people), but I can say that it is pretty much the opposite of Gyminee's motivational philosophy. Gyminee fosters a platform for positive encouragement. One of the big goals of being healthy is to feel better about yourself. Positive encouragement (as opposed to Anti-Gym's negative encouragement) makes it much easier to reach that goal.

If you are reading this blog post, then you must have seen the new Gyminee interface! We are very excited about the new look and hope it makes the site much easier to navigate and more fun to use.
One of the main reasons we are excited about the new interface is that it gives us more screen space to provide more advanced features in the near future. The "centered" layout constrained the amount of room on the screen, and limited the types of things we could show.
We hope you like the new look. As always, let us know if you have any comments or suggestions.

This is a new feature that I am pretty excited about. After using Gyminee for the past few months, I felt it was hard to get a birds-eye view of how much exercising I was really doing (it's quite difficult to have an accurate picture of your health and fitness). At first I wasn't sure what would really help solve this problem, but then it struck me - a specialized calendar! At first glance, the Gyminee Calendar looks like a normal online planner/calendar, but it actually has customized features to help you get a good overview of when you have entered your progress and how well you are doing fitness-wise.
Also at the heart of Gyminee Calendar is the ability to schedule your workouts (meal scheduling coming soon...). It is beneficial to keep up with your fitness and nutrition progress so that you can look backwards and see how far you have come, but it is also important to plan for the future so that you stay motivated towards your goals.
We have many more exciting features planned for the calendar, so stay tuned! Be sure to let us know what you think about the new features, we really do listen to what you have to say.
