Gyminee was recently featured on the BBC News website! Kate Russell discussed Gyminee under her "Webscape" section of the BBC's "Click" programme (I normally wouldn't use the British spelling, but it is kind of cool).
Kate says, "Now if you think that all of this staring into a PC screen is unhealthy, this site should rectify that. Gyminee is a fitness and workout tracking site, which allows users to keep a strict eye on their fitness regime..."

We all know that drinking water is a good thing to do, and hopefully most of us drink at least the recommended 8 glasses of water per day. But why? In this article we will take a look at some of the reasons why water is so good for our bodies.
Water makes up the majority of our chemical make-up (about 60% on average). Also, it is not just that we are filled halfway up with water, water is an important agent that helps keep our bodies running smoothly - water helps transport nutrients and oxygen to our cells, is responsible for flushing toxins from our vital organs, helps regulate body temperature, lubricates joints, helps protect body organs and tissues, and so forth.
In other words, there are many good reasons why our body needs so much water. We have all heard the dangers of being dehydrated, and now that should make a little bit more sense. So, just how much water do we need? The standard recommendations are 8 glasses per day for the average female and 12 glasses per day for the average male (where a glass is measured as 8 fluid oz.). Of course, this number may go up or down depending on your age, body size, and activity level.
If you are having trouble drinking enough water, try to follow this simple guideline. Drink 1 glass of water with each meal, and then also drink 1 glass of water between each meal. You will still have a little bit of work to do, but that should put you well on your way to getting the daily recommendation! It is also important to keep in mind that a good portion of your water intake may come from the foods that you are eating. While it is difficult to determine an exact amount, expect about 20% of your fluids to be replenished through food.
